The Barred Owl is slightly larger than a barn owl and sounds like a typical hoot owl. This house can be mounted high in a tree with the two metal hangers.

NOTE: All of our nesting boxes open up for easy cleaning of the nest box!

RANGE: Resides from British Columbia east to Nova Scotia, and south to northern California, and to Texas and Florida .

HABITAT: Lives in low, wet woods and swampy forests.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to its very large size and weight, this owl house comes unassembled, but the assembly is very easy! The only tool needed is a Phillips head screwdriver (or preferably an electric drill with a Phillips head bit on it). There are 34 screws that need to screwed into pre-drilled holes. Easy to follow directions with pictures are included.
