Size of the Hole in your Birdhouse

Various species of birds prefer birdhouses of certain sizes. You want to choose an entrance hole that is large enough for the type of bird you want to attract to the birdhouse. The hole needs to be the specific size that is needed because a larger hole will attract various predators to invade the bird house. These predators can take over the birdhouse or will even kill any baby chicks in the birdhouse nest.
